I am not a chef, a restaurateur, a writer or a journalist, but merely a simple man with simple tastes who has a passion for spending time (and probably too much according to my wife!) in the kitchen. The kitchen gives me a canvass for creativity and a time to relax and, through a combination of this, some great food!

This site is dedicated to sharing ideas about anything food-related. I’ll post articles, recipes, thoughts and anything that pops in to my head that could be classed as being related to food. If just one person visits this site, finds it useful, picks up an idea or creates a dish they enjoy, then I’ll be a happy man!
